why does my nose always feel rough?

I exfoliate 1-2 times per week and when I don’t, I really work my oil and foam cleanser into my nose. it will feel pretty smooth for the night and maybe the next day but then it’s back to feeling dry and rough. is it just that my nose has dry skin?
