Doxycycline hyclate doesn’t seem to be working

I have been prescribed doxycycline hyclate as well a tretnoin 0.0025% I use the tretnoin every night and take the doxycycline hyclate pills twice daily. My acne has seen to been controlled but like all other products, it controls it but eventually it comes back. I don’t know what else would work and am starting to think about actutane. Is there any other recommendations before I make that big step?
