Painful jawline acne and scarring

Hello everyone, I’m new to this Reddit community and I was hoping that someone here could help me with my current acne struggles.

Backstory: I have always had acne since about middle school and it’s definitely genetic too. It was always super bad and I started birth control and it was mostly tame but still some mild acne. For reference you could probably say I had all the types of acne (blackhead whitehead and cystic). As I have been on birth control my acne is somehow coming back again and it’s not good. Also for reference I have a hormonal condition so I’m aware that is what’s causing some of these flares. I’m having incredibly painful jawline cystic acne that’s also leaving behind scars along with some random blackheads and acne on my cheek area. I understand that jawline acne is caused by more than just hormones and could have something to do with food intolerances, stress, and other lifestyle factors.

Routine: I’d like to say I’m a very hygienic person with a pretty consistent routine. I use all of my products from the ordinary because they worked the best for my sensitive skin. My current routine is their foaming facial cleanser day and night and the moisturizing factors day and night after cleansing, salicylic acid serum at night after cleansing, and sunscreen in the day time. I also use the glycolic acid toner once or twice a week. I barely wear any makeup because it causes my skin to flare. The only other product that I sometimes use besides the ordinary is hypochlorous acid sometimes when I need a bit of a refresh especially after work.

What I need help with: I was wondering if anyone had advice of what I should add or remove from my skincare routine to help with my face being so inflamed and red and to help clear up my acne and remove some of the scarring. I’m also open to hearing advice on lifestyle changes to help with it or just anything regarding the issue. Please let me know if you have any advice or recommendations for me!! Thank you! :)
