adapalene use

hi!! I started using adapelene around the beginning of October, and have gone through said purge phase, but its December 26 and I continue to wake up with a new pimple or a few everyday, and im getting worried that it isn't doing its job. to begin with I never had major acne, just a few pimples here and there but the major issue is my clogged pores that's why I started using adapalene. my skin has been really flaky in certain areas too, but I've managed to resolve that issue. im not sure if I shouldcontinue to use it. please let me know. im aware that adapelene typically takes longer to see signifiant results, but should I expect to wake up with new pimples everyday for the next 2 months?
