Will 0.25% tretinoin improve acne scars and hyperpigmentation?

I have been prescribed 0.25% tretinoin and 100 mg of doxycycline for three months for my active acne I have been using this combination for a little over a month and haven’t really seen any results yet. Am I being impatient? My main concern is my acne scars that I have and my extremely red hyperpigmentation. Will tretinoin help improve my scars and hyperpigmentation?
