accutane for dry skin type??

i just got prescribed accutane from my derm, but i ended up doing a deep dive on the internet (which i definitely shouldn’t have done).

for context: i have normal/dry skin, mild but incredibly persistent acne (over 11 years now), hyperpigmentation, textured skin, scars (crater kind too)

i saw people say that if you already have dry skin, accutane will make ur skin permanently dry which can leave you with wrinkles/fine lines or make u look older (premature aging).

i was just wondering what people’s experiences were for those who had dry skin pre-accutane.
