Doxycycline

I have been struggling with acne for years with nothing working. A couple weeks ago I was prescribed doxycycline for my acne, and I was wondering what others experience with it has been like. I've definitely noticed a skin purge for the first week, but I still feel like it's not getting better and I've still had new acne come up daily. On top of that I've had absolutely terrible stomach aches even when I take it with lots of food and water. I know that doxycycline isn't really a permanent fix for acne and I'll probably go on accutane in the future. Just wondering what you're experience with doxycycline has been like and if anyone has any tips. Thanks!
